I bought this book in early January 2019 when I started actively trading with Hajoo Entertainment (Pty) Ltd. It was meant primarily for the business, but it began to shape my beliefs, convictions and ultimately my world view of how I process information, manage people and expectations and examining the forces that shape my life. I began listening to Youtube videos of Tony Robbins and becoming inspired by his in-depth view on human behaviour, rewards, punishment and motivation.
I made of list of things that I wanted to do this year. These included a level of fitness required to scuba dive. So, I joined the gym after a year break. I realised optimal health is important as I am 44 yers old this year. So, I scheduled each month for a particular medical check up. January is for ophthalmology & eye health, February is dental month, March is female health checks, April is full screening with Discovery Health, etc.
I then shifted focus to the business. It began with creating a basic website with Wix, creating a social media strategy, business meetings with team players and decision makers in the industry, creating compliance codes in the film industry, government meetings etc. I had to take small achievable steps towards building and growing the business. Was it scary. Yes! Being a small fish in a large pond is always scary, but an attitude of lifelong learning, being humble, teachable and honest make it easy to learn and instil a curiosity and creativity in the workspace.
